First Post, got a new machine and need advice about it?

Hi, Just became the proud owner of my first fruit machine for the house, I had a lot of choice, but went for a "classic" looking machine (OK, the other half did her nut when I picked out a full feature monster, so I've got a casino style)
It's a late 90's MPU5 Barcrest Goldrush (Rio), came with all the keys, the manual and even stickers for the screen for stake and percentage. So far, I have cleaned the old girl up, replaced a few blown bulbs and put in a dipswitch percentage and stake key.
Couple of questions, firstly there is a problem with the feature display for "Gold Series", it doesn't light, I changed the bulbs and still dead. Is this meant to light?
Second, I have the £5 and £25 jackpot cards for the machine, is there anything in between that you can buy? It's a home toy for the kids, but with it set at 5p play and £5 win, it's not what I wanted, £25 win is too much and I was thinking £10 win would be just right?
Last question (a broad one). What are the known issues or faults with these machines, I realise mine is at least 10 years old and want to keep it tip top, because it looks superb (little use) and works fine
