hi i have just bought a barcrest fruit machine, all coins work except 10p, they just drop to the payout tray. i have looked at the tubes but 10p are too big for the tubes. it says collect 70p refill required, but i have £150 of £1 and £40 of 20p in the right tubes. where do the 10ps go? sorry i am not well up on fruit machines. thankyou

hmm....i was thinking it might have been set up for old tens but that would mean the new 50 would 'nt work either , i'm sure the machine is later than that anyway ....genesis 2 cabinet i think.
maybe the mech has the 10p inhibit enabled ?

Changing the stake/prize setting should clear it. Switch bank 2 on this clubber I think.

The battery on the main board?
You could short the terminals on it(with the machine switched off) to clear it. Never tried it but I`ve heard it works.

thanks i have sorted out that problem now, it will accept the new 50p but not 10p. the trouble is when i have a odd one 30p, 70p etc it wont pay that out and says refill required

my machine has 4 tubes - 3 for £1 and 1 for 20p. it pays out in £1 coins but if i win odd amounts like 40p,80p etc it says insufficent funds to pay out, yet the tubes are now full. any ideas?

Faulty sensor (the thing that`s attached to the tube low down) or a faulty solenoid(the mechanism that counts out the 20p`s) ??

ok thanks, i think that it is the sensor as it doesnt click when it should payout. is it possible to swap the sensors over?

The sensor doesn`t click, you`re maybe meaning the solenoid?
But you could try swapping the sensor with one of the £1 ones to eliminate that as a cause!
