hi,can anyone help me please !! i have brought my son a fruit machine for his birthday and for the first few months it has been ok but now when i switch it on it just sticks saying initialising and then after a few more minutes a siren goes off and it then says 6.0 GEN MET ERROR ? the fruit machine is 'reel good time' by 'global machines',im not to clued up about fruitys and i would be very grateful if someone could shed some light on this probelm,many thanks.

check the wiring on the refill meter,,(,top right on top door) if ok replace

alright,had a look but aint resolved anything,do you know of anyplace where i could get someone to come out and fix it as its doing my head in ? cheers for getting back..

the price a engineer is going to charge for call out, check the conncection to the refil meter and to main board, you can pick up one of these on ebay for a few quid, or second opition just completely disconnect the meter alarm should clear, the meter shouldnt effect the general play of the machine if its just for home use. 8)

thanks for that but tried everything and nothing seems to be happening so if anyone knows of a engineer in my area i would be grateful

An lcd meter is only a few quid off ebay and this is the most likely solution and is much cheaper than an engineer,

I had a global machine(epoch tech) which started doing this. I replaced the LCD meter to no avail. I then replaced the main board and it was still doing it! Ended up scrapping the machine for spares.
U probably don`t want to hear that! :?

hmmmmmmmmm dont sound to good ! even if i buy an l.c.d. meter i cant see where to fit the bloody thing......dont wanna through it out but i need an engineer :? :? help.............
