I recently bought top giza for my home, I bought it private with very little instructions of use, the hopper is disabled and every time i get a win its saying it owes me £xx and wont accept anymore money, I have very little knolage of fruit machines and there workings and havent got a clue how to fix it. I have opened it up but have no idea what to look for or where to start! are there any guides available to learn the basics or does anyone know how the machines work?
many thanks in advance.

have you floated it? (needs about £40 minimum really)

if you put coins in it does it accept them

are all the doors shut (and the press switches on the inside of the doors closed once the door is closed and open whist the door is open)

if all of these things are right, take a photo of the coin acceptor on the top right, try and get a photo of all of the wires and where they are connected and post the photo on here

thanks for the speedy reply, I started off by putting 5 pound coins in, then I added about 100 50ps (I collect 50ps) I got up to 70 pound in the bank and ran out of money.
I pressed collect as i didnt know what else to do and it tried paying out the money (I know the 50s dropped through and there wouldnt be enought to pay out) then it wouldnt allow me to add any more money and keps saying I Owe U £68 and call attendant,
It wouldnt go off for a few days so I was playing in demo mode ( bottom door open) then I turned it on (after fiddling with it) and it seemed to have reset its self and went back to zero, I then added about £20 and won £5 then had the same problem again as the payout mechanism is disabled (im assuming) It keps saying i owe u £4.
how difficult is it to reattach the pay out mechanism?
also is ther a reset button which if this happened again I could just press reset and start from scratch again?
Many thanks again for your speedy reply, I can take some photos too if they will be of any use to you? cheers. sid.

the first time you played it it sounds like it was set up right, but you hadnt floated it, you need to reset it again and not play it till you have refloated it properly

reset it like you did last time..
ideally, you need £125 in £1 coins
about £40 - 50 will probably do...

put the coins straight into the hopper, and there should be a button in the back that says "hopper refloated" on it, press this...

this *should* let the machine play as normal.... but it will think it has £125 in not £40/£50... so it will still try to pay any large amounts won... fail and alarm, just put the coins back into the hopper till the "iou" is paid, then refloat again...

once you have saved up a total of £125 in coins in the machine, refloat it with the whole £125 and it will work properly...

as you are using the machine yourself, this will work, if it was sited, this would be a pain in the ass cause every 2 jackpots empties it

oops, i just re-read what you wrote..

has the hopper actually paid anything out, ever while you've had it?
...even 1 coin?

Hi mate, I think the hopper is disconected as Its a private use machine. it hasnt paid a single coin out, im not sure how i reset it before, I think I just let the alarm run for 30 seconds?
How easy is it to enable the hopper? the man who sold it said it was just a case of putting a wire in but didnt say which one and theres 100's.
thanks again.

i cant remember specifics, but if he unplugged it, just look for a wire near the hopper that looks like it either should go, or has been plugged in before...
