Hi, got a Maygay Clubmonopoly machine about 10-15 years old. Worked fine when i got it now after a few years is not working, on turn on it says reel fault 2.2, ive investigated and looks like the battery has leaked on the MPU, so i am in the process of finding a new M1A MPU and replacement battery for the new board. Have i got the right end of the stick here?, also is there much likely hood off problams arising with swapping the mpu?, i am a sparky but dont really repair electronics e.t.c so thanks in advance for any advice!

Pretty much spot on, nothing to add! Apart from warning that you will likely have problems finding a decent working M1 board...
Also, try to get an M1b as they are superior, and totally interchangeable.

Batteries are available on Ebay.
