2 red 12 green error on empire games club centurion

only thing i have done is to pull the jumper next to the battery on the main board and now it won`t work since i put the jumper back on

at switch on i get hey check it out and one segment on the bottom display lit up
inside i get
halt led off
status led 2 red 12 green
power led`s all on
reel boards are all o.k
light boards are all ok

pulled all connectors and re installed them to make sure there is no dirt on contacts

the machine was working fine and all i tried to do was clear the ram

any thoughts outher than a hammer appreciated

Just to update further i have plugged the alpha display directly into the main board and i`m getting
42 - 2c battery flat error
i have checked the battery and it is fine
i have also replaced the battery with anouther one which is fine
still same message

although looking on the board i can see the track for the + side runs to a jumper but cannot see anywhere on the - side of the battery where the track is , just appears to be a blank pad on both sides of the board

anyone any wiser , i`m just completely puzzled

not had a lot of time to play with the main board yet , but already checked a few components and it seems like its the max703 ic on board which is used for backup monotoring of the battery circuit , although it does use the software from the board as well
since i removed the battery it shut down , anyway got a new brain to try today , in the meantime , i`m going to replace the max703 and re check the brain after a few more component checks to see what else could have failed ,
i`m pretty confident its down to this i.c though , as there was no outher reason for it to keep reading battery flat fault when it had a perfectly good battery in , also after chainging the battery and still no joy
thought i`d share this as it might be of interest to anyone else who suffers this type of problem
mabe i`m completely wrong - but its worth a try
life is a learning curve

and i would apreciate hearing from anyone else if they find any outher faults like this that has been remedied down to a component failure

would also apreciate anyone having a circuit diagram of the mpu5 main board anyone ????

Are you measuring the battery with the power off to check it

As I would have thought a new replacement battery would be flat to start with

Maybe leave it on for a few hours to charge it up 1st.

as for circuit diagrams, never seen any about

no the newbattery was fully charged as i had it on my workbench ad had been on trickle charge overnight also measured voltage before it was fitted to the board

i can since confirm that no voltage was comming out of the max i.c either powered up or powered down
this is what lead me to think it is this i.c
will update further when i get round to replacing it

i can now confirm this was the problem and also a bugger to fix
to replace the i.c i just chopped the legs off at the top and fitted a chip socket to the top of the legs as i didn`t want to overheat the chip , also did this way as it is a dual layer pcb and soldering could be a bit tricky , anyway after fitting the chip in i powered up and alarm has now gone , machine working again finaly
