magay coin mech fault

hi

i have found how to it looks like put the machine into test mode by holding in the red button on the main board to flick through lamps reels etc

it comes up on one stage of it saying 7.1 edc/rs232 when i hit collect button it says RX ERROR

would this have anything to do with coin reader not working

nope 7.1 error is a edc/data error the rx part means its not receiving,unsual in a private owned machine as they usually have non data proms,if u close all doors and power up do u get an error 71 code?? or does it boot ok??

no it all boots fine no errors

just reread yr post wonder if u trying to test comms in test menu??
btw what coin mech is it thats playing up??
