could always refill from the front,on the key front if ya lucky could be a standard 250 key otherwise if its a cam lock best way just drill it out and replace dont bother trying to force the top just do more damage

you need to put it in refill mode via the refill key

Whom or where did you buy the machine from?Is it not possible to contact them to see if they have supplied you with the correct keys, or at least find out if they had a problem(unable to open it or lost the key) and sold you the machine knowing you would not be able to get it open.

Looks like your stuck and only way is going be to drill out the lock as getting a duplicate key if its the round type will be virtually impossible.
Another alarm bell ringing is that if its on free play, when you say the money falls straight through,is it comming back out?,If thats the case then it wont payout anyway even if you do manage to get it filled as it possibly has a door switch that has been set in the open position setting the machine on free play.
That would explain why the previous owner did not have any need to open the top.

Maybe nicki68 could answer that for us,to be honest looking at all the similar postings of machines bought not working and people asking for help,I'm embarrassed to say that I do not possess the psychic ability yet to determine which post is genuine
