MAYGAY BATTERY AND MOMORY PROB PLEASE HELP!

HI I HAVE A CLUB GREAT ESCAPE WHICH KEPT ON FORGETTING CREDITS ETC IF IT GOT TURNED OFF SO I REPLACES THE BATTERY IN IT,TURNED IT BACK ON AND NOW ALL THAT HAPPENS IS THE ALARM GOES OFF AND COMES UP WITH ERROR 4.2 WHICH IS "MOMORY CLEARED" WOT DO I NEED TO DO NOW???
ANY HELP OFF ANY ONE WOULD BE GREAT THANKS

When its saying memory cleared are you switching the machine straight back off again? if you ae you need to wait until the message has cleared before it will work

hi i have double cheaked and the battery is in the right way for sure. i have left the alarm to go off which it does for about 20 seconds then clears and plays ok but when i turn it off,leave it then turn it back on the alarm sounds again?? i never had the alarm prob untill i changed the battery? and it still forgets credits
any ideas folks

Have you checked to make sure its the same voltage as there are a few different types of machine batterys? If this is correct, make sure the solder points havent crossed over and is shorting as this would cause it to clear the ram everytime its switched off. And finally if that is all ok then you have purchased a faulty battery by the sounds of it then is probably flat and isnt holding its charge. Try resoldering the battery off and back on again

ime going to maplins tomorow to try another battery and see if that helps. ive got another problem now ive bought a bell fruits stag night fruity and when iut comes to pay out it comes up with pay out error?? any ideas how i can clear all the errors and stary again (it plays fine in free mode but when all the doors are shut it just comes up with the error above and wont let you do anything???
any help would be great mate

Try buying machines that work!! Anyone could buy a cheap broken machine then come on here trying for FREE advice. go on ebay and search fruit machine repair, he'll help you for a fiver!
