Faulty Coin Mech?

Post by simon »

Hi,

I have the above machine and it has just started to reset when you put a coin in during play. The coin mech is ME126TS and takes 20p tokens, and new 10p, 20p, 50p and £1.

Does anyone know why the machine resets when a coin goes in? I have pushed all the available wire looms into place but I do not know enough about these things. It seems to work after messing about with the coin mech and then all of a sudden it will reset - regardless of which coin goes in.

I would very much appreciate some help to solve this problem.

Many thanks,

Simon

most prob a Faulty MPU, try a ram clear. does this happen after extended play or soon after power on. All machines will do strange things with a faulty PSU but more often than not a faulty PSU will cause various faults and not one spacific fault. get a new mech in there and see if that helps.

Hi,

How do you do a ram clear?

The machine usually resets when a 20p coin goes in and then it keeps resetting everytime the 20p is entered. It does not log the 20p as credit but it still goes into the tubes. The bank and any other credits still remain after the reset.

It happens not long after start up and mostly, I think, after there is some money in the bank.

Just another point, on the option switch setting, what does 'pay wins live' (switch 3, bank 2) and 'Inhibit OCD' (switch 4, bank 2) mean?

Many thanks for your help so far.
