Warped Eclipse - Total Lamp Failure

New to all of this stuff so, please excuse any ignorance on my behalf.

Had a Warped Fruit Machine based on the Eclipse Game Board for about 6 months now and apart from some initial start up problems (battery just needed a few days to charge up properly) all has been fine.

Kids were playing with it the other day when suddenly, ALL of the lamps stopped working! Have checked the board connections, done a full RAM reset and tried the various tests but all to no avail.

Obviously the BACTA Test Routine (3.1) tells me that there are numerous lamp failures (all of them) but nothing more. Given that it is highly improbable that over 200 lamps would blow simultaneously, my suspicions lead me to a board fault but I'm at a loss as to work out exactly what is going on and more importantly, how can I fix it?

Have you taken a bulb out and had a look to see if its blown, As you may have had a unkown surge which knocked all your bulbs out? highly unlikely but its worth ruling it out as its an easy thing to check takes only a few seconds.

You may find the lamp driver board may have gone.
you can get them off ebay for a few pounds.

Thanks for the replies.

Will try and test a few bulbs this evening when I get back from work. Unlikely as you say, but best to eliminate it - basics really I suppose.

As for the lamp driver board, I knew you could do this on an Epoch based system however, as mine is an Eclipse, everything is on a single board- is it possible to change a single chip then?

there is an on board smt fuse just to the left of the power connection,you should also check for any burnt out components,all the converting from ac to dc is done on the main board and not the power supply,and they are not very reliable

Checked about a dozen of the bulbs at random and all are fine so, don't think I've had a power surge. As for the smart fuse, there's no obvious signs of any components burning near the power connector however, not sure exactly what a smart fuse looks like or how to test it; is it replaceable?

Probably nothing but whilst checking the bulbs I noticed three LEDs on the main board between the reel driver connectors and the comms port. LEDs 1 & 2 are steady whilst LED 3 is flashing; does this mean anything or is it just because I've got the main door open?

Thanks for all your suggestions so far but looking like I might have to remove the Eclipse board and send it to a proffesional to test - any suggestions? Preferably ones that dont cost an arm and a leg as the machine is only used as a glorified 'piggy-bank' for the kids!
