Hi there,
Newbie here so should probably post in the newbie section (if there is one) but i have a problem straight off the bat!
I just invested in (what i think is a very old) and very cheap centurion club £250 jackpot fruit machine.
I knew the machine needed some TLC but i think it might be more problematic than i originally thought.
Basically, most £1 coins fall straight through the machine and into the bottom hoppers, to boot to that the start key sticks all the time and its already frustrating!
ALso when playing the machine and "winning" some money it wont pay it out all the time and the machine crashes.
I would ideally love 1 of 2 things,
1, answers to what could be the problem causing the above
2, some beginners tips for having a machine at home
Sorry for the questions straight off the bat and i look forward to getting to know you all soon!
Wayne
Argh
The cause of coins dropping straight through to what I presume are the cash boxes, and not the hoppers, as you've stated, is more than likely a dodgy coin mech. Try swapping for a known good unit if possible in the first instance.
The start key sticking is almost certainly a build up of dirt on the side of the botton itself, where it sits in the socket. A sign of use over time by grubby fingers, or maybe even a spilt drink etc. Best thing to do is to pop the button out from behind, clean it up, as well as the socket in which it sits at the same time, as this too will be dirty. Problem solved easy.
You say that when playing, it "crashes" when "winning" some money. What exactly do you mean by "crashing" ? If it alarms, and perhaps calls for the attendant or the manager, then it more than likely has an empty hopper, and needs topping up.
