Are all tube sensors working as they should?
They can easily be tested within the machines test routine facility.

No doubt someone else will say it, so I shall save them the bother ~ why not just remove the bulb, if it's otherwise working as it should ?

Oh God, it's been years since I've worked on one of these old machines. From memory, it's an old Scorpion 2 in a rear opening cabinet. Open the back door, and look for a black plastic push button, usually mounted near the door frame. Now I can't remember if you push this once, twice, or push it once and hold it for 2 seconds, so you'll have to try all 3. Once in the test routines, buttons on the front will illuminate. One button will allow you to skip through the various tests, and another will allow you to select any of the tests. I would suggest you test "coin payout" which will test each of the solenoids on each of the tubes, and also the "switch test" which will allow you to test all of the buttons and all of the level sensors ~ by operating any switch, which is effectively what the sensors and buttons are, a bleep will be heard if they are working.
