Hi guys after a wee bit of help with the above mentioned fruity. When I plug it in there is a small pop noise, however the bloody thing wont boot up. when the lid is open there are 4 green lights on the main board, these are the 48v, 24v, 12v, 5v lights. also there is a flashing red light which says LE1.
any ideas why this machine wont start up???? any help would be greatly appreciated thanks Rik

Scorpion 4 machine?
Probably PSU faulty. But first check the memory backup battery on the main board has not leaked - it's very common.

Just a quick thought, check the program card has not been knocked out of position on the main board.Rik wrote:Hi guys after a wee bit of help with the above mentioned fruity. The pop sound i would guess seems more like the lead going into the filter on the psu and slightly arcing on entry.
Most scorp 4 psu`s if they die would show at least one voltage led drop imo.
As i said before just an idea but i may be miles off track to without pics buddy.

Good point, it's common enough and a nice quick easy fix if it has.starleisure wrote:Just a quick thought, check the program card has not been knocked out of position on the main board.
