New owner neeeds some help please!

Post by manky_paws »

Hi Board! I've just got my hands on my first fruity, a 2001 Barcrest 'GOLDEN DRAGON' machine, and would appreciate a couple of questions answered.

1. How to I perform a Hopper Dump to clear the £1 coins from the machine?

2. I have a refill key, but when turned, display just says 'refill'. Is this normal? I thought there was an option to change the volume of the machine, can this be done with the service door open?

3. Will an alarm go off if I open the service door while the machine is switched on?

4. One of the bulbs is out under the 3rd reel, (the middle bulb) I believe it is a 10mm? I understand you have to remove the reels to access the bulb. Is this a difficult task, or something that a novice like me could do?

5. I have already replaced some 5mm bulbs that were out, but upon replacing them, ones that were previously working went out too? Any ideas? Also some bulbs are very hard to access, due to them being underneath circuitry at the top of the board, I don't want to damage anything, is there an easy way of doing this?

Phew!! I hope thats not too much to ask, thanks for your help in advance!

#2: before you turn the refill key hold down one of the hold buttons (i think its hold 2) and the volume options should show on the matrix, then use the flashing buttons to increase/decrease the volume.
insert 20p to play

To dump, open the bottom door, and remove the wooden door in front of the cash boxes. Behind this wooden door, and usually up high (you may want to get on your knees to see it) there's a push button switch ~ do not press it yet.
Now, enter and turn the refil key as you did before. Give it a minute to settle down, and then press the switch by the cash boxes. Now just follow the instrictions given on the LED display.
