jpm adders ladders alarm fault

please can anybody help jpm adders ladders late 80s begin 90s model. alarm keeps coming on when machine is switched on. CASH CASH is displayed not a number code. How do i reset it. THANX

You could try clearing the ram by momentarily shorting out the battery.

Also check that the battery has not leaked.

Firstly thanx for ur reply. is this ram battery always on the main board, had alook the other night but couldnt find it. Found a plugin circuit board at the bottom of the main board and shorted that one. Alarm kept going off once the machine was switched on, very loudly it was late at nite so had to switch back off, if i mind correctly do u not have to wait 30sec for it to reset.

That's the one, must be Impact tech.

Any sign of leakage? Pull the board out to have a look.

Its ma mates machine will get to it friday nite. But after shorting battery and closing back door switching the machine on,i will hv to let the alarm sound off until the macine resets.

Yep, could just be on/off alarm, but why it comes up with "CASH CASH" I am not sure.
