I pass my driving test.

6 minors, but a pass neither the less. :-)

Good work!
Always nice to pass, i was bricking it a bit when i went in for mine a few years back, but got lucky with quite an easy test in areas i'd practiced in a fair bit and flew through it with 2 minors!
A car is of course essential in a fruit machine related world

Yeah six minors ain't too shabby. I got six minors and I've driven fifty million miles and all that has happenned to me is that some women drove into my car whilst I was paying for fuel. Touch wood, that is how it will be. Oh dear. Jinx. Fifty car pile up awaits me tomorrow.

The price of insurance on even a basic car is... staggering...

Grr.

yeah, starts out very steep. My first year for a 1L Corsa was over £600
pain!
4 years on and its under half that figure
No claims is important, drive safely!

£600? That's cheap! Mates first year insurance on a 1.4 M reg Civic was £1650
Mine was about £900 first year for a 1.4 Corsa, and now into my third year of insurance, i'm down to paying £38 a month for my Clio which is more than reasonable i think.

They want £1,300. That's the cheapest I can find and a 1L Corsa lol
I was gonna have/share my brothers car, they wanted £4,500. The car isn't even worth that...

Bought a banger from a car auction, lil 1.1 saxo. Pretty good nic, odd scratch and scrape as expected. :-)
Not bad for £500 though! :-)
