yeah he said he owned two homes , but not one dragon sugested he remortgage . lol ,

if he was 100% sure of himself , and returning the dragons investment , then why not remortgage and put his own money where his mouth is?

if you were that good , then why would you want to bring a dragon in and split your profits in the first place ?

obviously a liar about what he's worth.

tosser.

The guy truly was a chancer.

Still, a million points (that I don't have but I'll get them from somewhere) and an unmeasurable amount of kudos to the first person from here who goes onto the Den and wheels on his favourite machine of the moment, shows them how he can empty it, then asks for investment to tour the country emptying them.

Staking is quite common in higher stakes poker.
It can cost six figures just to play the UK festival circuit and if you wanted to play the big international events you could easily make that seven figures. You have to take into account travel, accomodation and food costs and the swings in tournament records can mean months without a cash then a huge hit that returns a season profit.

I didn't recognise the fella who went on and I never thought for a second a dragon would go for staking a poker player, but I know it goes on and if a players record is good enough they can even over sell a share.

By that I mean sell for example a 30% share of winnings for a 50% share of buy ins.

There's no pension scheme for poker pro's so the goal is always to pay off the mortgage and put a lump sum away for the kids. Once that's done players can restart their bankrolls without those finacial pressures.

it'd be even better if you got them to give you money, but showed them a really really old trick...

take something from about 15 years ago in... lol

had a good bash at poker last few months ..done ok 3rd in 20k guarenteed 12th in 50k several 180 seat 36$ wins and places ... total profit about 5k... bin in the 50k guarenteed agan tonight and several others came 7th and lost with bullets all in preflop against jacks... lost to trips sick the game at times f**** sick . im stupidly unlucky in my opinion.

gonna stick to machines and use my skills on them for a while..

. i enjoy poker but its hard going to make it pay heavy ....i know it can be done ... i class myself as a very good player winning a couple of highish stakes live events as well but when your running bad its near impossible to win... right me baths ready best go and have it as my mrs might plug it if i dont hurry up as its getting cold.
