Carb junkie

Ok, it's time for a detox. I'm a carb junkie, I love them and although I stay fairly fit and healthy and active (not today, I've been a lazy b*stard), I have to reduce the carbs.
So I'm looking at pulses and protein and fruit for water soluble vitamins. Maybe some dark chocolate as a treat. Healthy, no big fat burgers/pizza/cheesy baps/tea cakes/scones/Tuc cheesy biscuits/Kit Kat Chunkys etc
I wondered if there were any fruit chat recipes to share?
So I'm looking for things like pulse based salads with tuna and low fat dressings, wholesome vegetable soups. Maybe some tasty rye bread to go with the soup and just a little cheese.
Also, I don't want to get too girly here, but anyone tried that Actobiffiduslactobacillidophipheodopilopatheoparfitisopolisbacopolis yoghurt stuff? Any good?
Moderate alcohol from now on, in fact just a glass of wine to aid digestion of my pulse based tuna snack. I eat too much at night, stuff myself. It will stop. A pulse based snack, a slice of Canteloupe melon, an orange, two squares of dark chocolate and a crisp apple should fill me up nicely.
Two litres of water.
I am told that following this road leads to increased metabolism, energy levels, increased libido and lower levels of toxins in the gut.
Like I say, outside of AWPs I stay fairly active. Inside of AWPs, well all that nervous energy created must burn off a few calories, even if it is just driving around lifting small gold coins into and out of slots.
Maybe I could go really hardcore and just have two Fortisips a day with fruit to top up my water soluble vitamins.
Any stories about detox/low carb experiences to share?
Just to add, Stephen Fry was on Top Gear last week and he had undergone a low carb diet. You could definitely tell the difference, gone was the chubby chin resplendent on QI and his height/weight ratio seemed a lot better proportioned.
I've read a lot of bad press about carbs recently, so sorry for coming across a bit Essex housewife, but there you go. I promise my next posting will not be about the joy of pilates.
