switched off from behind the bar
3-4 weeks ago , was given a hi-lo by scott n martin ,,,,,,, been hitting it every 3days or so , had a few 105 s and several 70 s ,,,,,,,, been a really good earner ,
went in tonight , had to wait 20 mins for 2 general joe's to get off it,
then as soon as i stepped up and stuck 3 quid in ,,,,,,,,, it switched off .
the landlady came up to me and said , must be a fuse m8 , and then said how much you put in it ?,,,,,,,, knowing full well how much i had because she had obviously been watching me , so i told the truth , and she gave me the 3quid.
martin n scott got the same bullshit fuse line , that's why she passed it on to me .
and ive now passed it on to ady,
what a bitch .
at least i didn't lose owt , poor martal n eddie were 50 in at the time .
bet she switched it back on the moment i left the pub.
expecting many more stories like this when the 70s are ushered in.

Little discipline = BIG issue

Could have been a lot worse, would be major screwed if 100+ in for a mojor force, and could possibly be double or more when the 70 pound jackpots go widespread (if the playing profile stays the same).
At least you know to avoid the pub now, or just hit it when other staff behind the bar. Stories like this are sickening, making machines virtually unplayable as it is without the kill switch.

In my case the gaffer came from behind the with a screwdriver and took the plug too pieces
he fetched what he claimed to be a brand new fuse (same one deffo) then put the plug back together, i asked him why don't you just flick the switch behind the bar? (i was getting annoyed by this time) i think he thought i believed his bullshit fuse story, he switched it back on luckily, first board landed on blue big bucks then gave red alert to turn it red thankfully for £70, i was ok in there for about 3 weeks, and i made plenty on it, if and when Ady gets barred i'll pass it on again, see who gets bored first, i reckon she'll have the thing moved before i run out of people to pass it on to

Two questions.
1) What is it with?
2) Is it actually a hilo or is it an indy?
Bollocks to all you idiots!

Re: switched off from behind the bar
Reminds me , one night last week was wandering down the platform at a mainline London station fairly late on and noticed an Indy in one of the sandwich places. Having initially walked past it, i stopped and looked back in to check it was indeed said unit and by I had circled back towards the door, the fella came charging out from behind the counter to switch it off at the plug. I am not a player but do have a dabble when got time to kill but this made me laugh, I was fully pin-stripe suited and booted after a day in the city- it looked like paranoia gone mad- if you dont let your average commuter play them on the way home then who on earth do they let in. The bloke then watched me through the window all the way down the platform and he was still on the lookout even after I had crossed platforms to get alternative train.trayhop123 wrote:3-4 weeks ago , was given a hi-lo by scott n martin ,,,,,,, been hitting it every 3days or so , had a few 105 s and several 70 s ,,,,,,,, been a really good earner ,

if you walk down first, then another player follows you, you walk past, do the same action, stop and stare through the window,
then walk to the nearest most visable train,
while hes watching you, the other player buys two coffees and sits in the cafe right next to the machine.
as soon as he puts the machine back on when he sees you get on a train the other player gets up and starts pileing coins into the machine,
you walk from the carrage you boarded the train on to the next carrage and get back off out of view...
both meet for a coffee and a play on the indy that should be off..

Mr McStreak
Its sad that we players should be reduced to such measures, but thats the way it is going. Only a week or so ago I was refused entry into a mainstream bar at night, because they had a "no trainer policy after 8pm." A quick glance was sufficient for me to spot at least one Air Max trainer.
Having swapped my trainers for my mates shoes I went back, and asked the doorman if he had another excuse ready to stop me going in...
In I went, only to find both machines I intended to play had been removed, and replaced with DOND Break the Bank, and a Cops N Robbers Screen. Having gone to the trouble and having paid £3.20 for a VK Cherry I decided to give the games a board, and proceeded to lose a tenner, as the same doorman cast a shadow over the machines.
I then left, returning the doorstaffs smug grin, whilst seething inside.

if you only saw one trainer, then maybe they had one shoe on and walked in sideways??Mr McStreak wrote:Its sad that we players should be reduced to such measures, but thats the way it is going.
