Eduardo

I'm not an Arsenal fan - don't love em, don't hate em.

Good to see Eduardo back and playing some cracking football after that horror injury.

I'm CERTAINLY not a Gooner, but fantastic to see him make such a recovery. From someone who had a similar injury way back (yes my leg did bend horrendously the wrong way - but at the knee - it makes my eyes water to think about it!) it's great to see!

PS: I 'cannot' look at those sort of injury videos / pictures, even though I'm in no way 'a wuss'. :o ops:

And he's got a goal to celebrate his return!

The image of David Busst still haunts me now, sickening!

I've never seen the Eduardo images and would'nt go out my way to seek them it if there as sick as the above.

Ah, the Babb-ollock post-cruncher I can handle. Does have a comical side to it...

I saw the Buust one first hand, with Dennis Irwin and McClair sliding in on him! :? :( :|

I fractured my leg first term at school in a 50/50 tackle. When I recovered I wasn't so committed.

Yeah, will be interesting to see how he gets on now. I've had a lot of bad injuries before, last serious one was a broken arm and fractured wrist in Sep 07 which required surgery (metal plate etc) and since then I've resumed playing football (play in goal) but I've found that I get injured a lot more in other areas now, possibly because I'm compensating for my arm, worried about hurting it again I guess.

I did the same in primary 7, broke my ankle.

Play a bit of Sunday league the now where I get stick for pulling out of tackles. Turns out none of the boys giving me stick have ever broken a bone.

Sunday league football is good fun though.

I play in net, one game i came out to smother the ball at someones feet, who decided to just slide into my midriff even though i had the ball, makes you wonder what sort of people's mentalities are that play.

I would never put my head anywhere near harms way, mainly due to the fact that i fully expect someone to stamp on it if i did.

good to see him back (this coming from a Manchester United Supporter) Horrific injury, Ive only seen the tackle when paused before impact. I wouldn't watch it for real even if paid. A real shocker, and very saddening.
Arsene Wengers reaction was totally justified. Anyone who does such a thing should be banned for life. disgraceful to say the least.

I cant remember who did it but i do remember it not being a deliberately dangerous tackle, just full pace 50/50 and maybe a bit . . . . . . late.
At the time, i was amazed that Wenger actually saw that but missed Eboue's attempted [tackle] castration of the goalie about 2 minutes previously.

Perhaps the Woolwich Wanderers may challenge for a trophy after all this season?
In Gustavo Augusto Poyet Dominguez we trust.
