Top 5 comedies.

Post by Scott »

Just to stop the room 101 thread straying to far of topic.......anyway heres mine.

1)Only Fools (how this can be disputed i'll never know, but i bet it won't be everyones No1)
2) Fawlty Towers (Germans  need i say more)
3) Young Ones (when the teams are introduced on University Challenge is hilarious)
4)game on, really like this (ginger tosser etc  )
5)Men Behaving Badly (none stop laughs)

No room for Victor for me, i do like it and it would make the top 10, just not my particular top 5.

Whats yours?

1) I'm Alan Partridge. If you're going to be angry, can you please try and be angry down the centre of the table?
2) Only F+H. Classic. Casting and scriptwriting gold. Trouble is, you see them about 200 times and forget how funny they were the first time.
3) The Day Today. Chris Morris and Amando Iannuccii at their best.
4) Dad's Army. Has aged well. Would you, I say, would you mind awwwfully getting into line please chaps?
5) Fawlty Towers.

It's hard this. I'm not sure those placings are accurate for me. It'll just have to do for now.

Ah yes, continuing then vein of 'adult' versions of children's cartoons, this is definitely high quality stuff.

1. Only Fools and Horses - greatest TV show ever

2. Bottom - lewd, crude and very funny, perfect teenage viewing

3. The Fast Show - best sketch show ever made

4. Shooting Stars - funny in its day, is 8 out of 10 cats better though? hmmm

5. Harry Hills TV Burp - the mans a nutter, but a funny one :D

Bo Selecta, Fawlty Towers, Game On, Shameless and The Simpsons all left out too.
