Random lame big session

Post by JG »

Sunday morning call.
Tune by Oasis, worth a listen.

Late night poker session. poor judgement, was planning on a day off...but...

Quick dabble?

Safe hits. Being off, played, changed or dead.

Time to dance with the devil and try a set of Monops.

You know the score, bug(*) cost £20+ for a peek which doesn't go in and you flag it. Other two not there and Extrav off.
(*) Sorry re-read posting after posting to edit and I don't know what the word bug is doing here or what I meant. Sorry.

So after petrolling for nothing, rather than take the £30 loss. £110 in to see some action. Now resigned to this being a losing visit. Just play out the value. It wasn't going in enough, before I knew it, it was there and I had to feed in three more purple sheets. In the end I clawed back to a £60 bank and it was a long, long, long depressing grind. £110 down and I knew bars were on the horizon and that the big blooper was now worth a peek. However it had been a mammoth tussle, and I had heard a full Adders and ladders (Vivid lo-tech) so I went over to that, hoping for a random to jump on my Monopoly, lose a quick nifty and leave it there for me to get bars as a leg up and force the hell out of it. Easier hoped for that achieved.

This is what happenned (sorry no video footage)

I had heard the full A+L and the guy playing it had taken £4 off a feature.
£5 in and I get some cherries for a £1. You have to guess ODD/EVEN to advance up the cash ladder. Fook it. I was over £110 down, what's a £1? Swoosh! Winner! £2. repeat thought process. £3. Repeat. £5. Fook it! £10. What the heck it must be here.....£25........jungle jackpot music.
Carried on.
£4 for S+L board. HEY JUNGLE GUY! (So I was jungle guy then) IT'S YOU!
So off I went. All out, £25 didn't cleanse the wound much. Fifty would be sweet. As I was playing the board a random bint walked up to the Monops. I had lost on the third one. She goes £1 in.....nothing, number two....£1 in,,,,nothing.....number 3....£1 in and she carries on playing. I'm on my jungle man board and she's on 'my' Monop.
WHEEP WHOOP WHEEP WHOOP!!!! It's a whistle. Please be a fiver, please be a fiver....I turn around - FOOOK!!!! It's the FOOKIN' CENTRE SYMBOL, less than a bluey in and that HAS to be the BIG BLOOPA!
Meanwhile I'm on £15, needing anything bar a one for that snake....it's a 4.......HEY JUNGLE MAN!!!!! JACKPOT!!!! Jungle music plays. As the bittersweet muffly bassy jungle music plays I watch in dismay as three uncles clock up.
I'm offerrred a restart......ODD.......5....YES! HEY JUNGLE MAN IT'S YOU!!!
However a glance at the LED and no flicker! It's a super tight repeat pot. Flat £35. Phew. Hopefully it'll draw her in. I'm all teh way up...boost...boost...booost onto boost lovely red boost.....BOOOM! JACKPOT! but then.............MACHINE GUN FIRE...please be a fiver, please be a fiver.......going on too long......NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! It's the uncles on the bottom reels...wonder how she got them? I knew they were due(ish) ffs if they'd just paid the creidt before I went on it, they were coming into range. Kicked myself for not being slightly more aggressive. Trying to be clever JG, gifting some random muntling £70 off value from less than a £10.
Bittersweet continued the third board (even -restart - jungle man - you know the score) paid up another jackpot and then a fourth jackpot.

Mixed emotions. I had gifted a £60 profit..oh no £65 there's a fiver on the reels and she's leaving. Couldn't have played it better...bitch.

Still cheers to the guy for playing A+L and letting me hear it was full, I wouldn't have tried this otherwise. So I'm roughly even.

Bittersweet. Relieved. Angry, missed out on value I knew was there, didn't think it'd come quite that soon. Winning losing, quite fun, but full of what ifs? Like, why hadn't I come in, played S+L no 1, made £115 in about two minutes and gone back home? Ah....hindsight!!

Some goof had lost £40ish in a RhR whilst I had been Monopolying. So that was my next port of call. Delivered! £3 in for a mixed streak that rolled in 7 7 ....ah yeah blue seven for £1, £2 roll....NO! red seven for £25+£5 on blue. Then £1 in Rainbow Riches (some guy had lost, but I wasn't trying more than £2!) for a £10, put most back trying £2s in various random shit. Then £1 in a carrots which had been punted.
CARROTS! It's feature time you bunnies, dropping carrots, got steppy feature. £62 paid. LOL!!! MattB flukey time!!! Then I played some £5 shit, made a few quid and some guy pumped up Monop no1 so that it was due. Made £60 on it. So the set hadn't been hammerred, but lost £30 on no2 which was also there but the top box reset and it kept alarming on reboot, so they had to switch it right off. Gutted. Chance of a 2'er profit from being £110+a bit down. Still £120ish up and time to leave the grannies behind and play some proper fruits. I had gotten the bug and a few casual Sunday hits was now changing into a major route.
Some dead dials/reds , a Bucks, a ???? and a Monop + a few other bits had made me up to a meagre £135. I wanted to see the 2'er, so a bit further afield.
HOF and SMTM. Hof being played, but Mummy I thought I'd milk, half there, did well milking. Not its usually stingy self. Back to back £5 cash falls/HR then a wierd red bar stepper for £10. Some other bits before. Cleared £11 profit.
Joy of joys! A £10 off full, regular boarding HOF! This was the 2'er now baby, here it was......

We have these discussions about what constitutes a good result for the day and yeah it's true, like TH says, £50 a day to be fair, but hey, I always think the 2'er is a sweet spot. Blast a 2'er and it feels like a result doesn't it?

£10 off and I feel it's close to gamblin' up to three phones naturally. Juice. Cost £15 for the lovely MS to land and I collect for £20 profit. Just under a £10er for my 2'er target. A bowling alley next stop, but hold on, hold on, that HOF was so happy, maybe there is more value.

£15 board. Early death. Another £15 board. Bastard. No major worries. Value was obviously there. Then a series of harsh boards, a couple of fook ups, not seeing a big win, costly boards. Back to about £30 in and the reflex is happy again, but can I get a box over £6? Can I get an offer over £9? Can I fook? You WOULD NOT BELIEVE the ILL BEHAVED series of BOXES I was dealt. Boards still costing, me getting greedy for a bit and hoping for a big offer. You know you have the £5 box, so you think why collect £7.82 when I may get it down to £5 and £20+? eh? Then you land with a £5 for a board that cost £10 and then the next board costs £12 for winspin, £6 for random death second gamble. £10 for...blah blah...you get the picture.......then I did get a couple of back to back £15s for £10ish down. Pah. Slow down. Milk a bit more. £15 in for £15 back. Where's my bloop board? Battle battle, no where to be seen. The machine had grown really nasty. Really tight. It was like it said, I know your game! That was that super expensive boards, then it'd be there naturally. Almost like that was that. Take away any advantage. It was getting late, I was yawning from my late poker session, I was approaching my pain threshold. £90 in and tbh I had a long enough session earlier on, this has turned sick, any big box and tbh I'll write this off. Then I thought ram a nifty through and see what I can rip. That yielded my red box win series and £37 in other wins for £72 back. Thought I'll break the bank limit, one more board, still haven't got my %, so £11 for the board, get the phones, go to press DOND. Reel spins then nothing. No game. Nothing. Lights static. All buttons unstuck. Jammed. Go to bar. Takes ages. Paranoid about leaving frozen machine in case unfreezes and random pockets £72 + DOND feature. Plug. Comes back on, money in bank, but lost DOND game. Try one more board, £15 for £15. No auto as I took my £72 out first. Sack it off as I'm getting 'winning' comments about my £72 bank and will probably be barred now(!) and my soul has been destroyed.
£68 loss on a HOF. Yes I left it at pretty much thepoint I started, but I had also paid a bit for someone elses flasher, so decided not to chase the harder rip and left.

Count and £78 up over all gross. Bowling alley dead. Wierdest thing, made £22 on a £5 Money magic and evens on all the other stuff. Sweet. Not sweet. A 1'er. Old faithful, the 1'er.

One last hit. JTRAR + Dial.
No dial! Now an Empire Strikes Back. JTRAR out of order (theme of the day). No biggie, but my beloved dial!
Note I've never played Can you dig it?
However it was £5 ready first board and couldn't remember if people on here had said that was a good sign. I knew it was a fairly lame machine, but hey, let's take it on, I'm tired and brainwashed now. £7 off full. Good sign. £42 in and I had a wierd rip. Nudges on outer trail from bonus, gifts 4, nudged in a number to get to another bonus (I think!?!) Not sure of this people as not too clever on this machine. I think it gave WINSPIN, cherries, gambled to mixed and jackpot was three off. Basically jackpot there on nudges. I thought that although stealy in nature, as it was so well blocked up, this was surely a sign natural jackpot was there as well. NO!!!!!!!!!!!
That was a 'rip' not entirely sure how I got it but 100% on exchange 3 or even 4(?!?) nudges for jackpot, straight off the bat. Doesn't normally offer any nudges form fruit exchange. Must have had loads from bonus and....feck knows. Think that's how it happenned. Anyway. £80 in for BM forced upon me. £35. Process repeated once for cheaper. Then a red £35 for £35. Great. Ended up losing £66 on this heap of dung! Once bitten ALWAYS shy until I work out the emptier. It was pretty much last orders and I didn't feel I had time to go back in. Milked, but huge board costs and boredom meant I walked. Any clues?

So. £34 up (gross) over all. A winning session. Or not.

I felt gutted. A £120 win in a risky location and then a HOF and my greedy judgement kills me. I got sucked in like an addict. It was a horrible run down though on that HOF. Horrible. Empire is probably par for the course. You need it red cash droid happy before you even think of collecting red cash droid.

Tedious story. Sorry. had to get that off my chest. Note I only post my defeats. I see £34 up for I'm not saying how many hours play as a definite loss.

I'd rather lose £2 in five minutes and give up, then spend x hours to win £34. x=8. There, I said it.

Let the flames and muggggsssssss begin.

This one wasn't.

To be honest I've only played this once before and I had red sevens (collected) and then a jackpot+restart....snake for small potatoes. All for a couple of quid.

So far on this low tech approx £12 in for £160 out. Cracking machine so far. Better than Red, White + Blue.

Nice long session there! Seeing as you love to hate my win stories, here's a fresh losing one for ya only a couple of hours ago.

£35 OAR. £12 off, £10er ready. £15 ready quickly, and £25 ready off £30 in. Reds off £60. Goes for two £35s in a row, and i'm roughly even stevens here. Next board red sevens on a 3 off nudges. Huge i think, split up £105 for a good profit. Bashed it and it lost. Then it sucked. Then some more. Random £15s dotted along the way all lost, eventually i'm all that back in and loads more and its all red no win again. Probably £130 in now. Finally goes in for £35, then £35 once more followed by £70. Back to fiver ready after, milkies. Count up when i get home and i'm exactly a score down when i could have been a score up instead. Why'd they fooking gamble down for eh, grrrrrrrr... :x

and he knows that how?! Not in the pubs all day is he?! I understand your point, but I employ similar judgement to machines myself, so I resent the implication that he takes on ones in better situations than myself.

Had a similar session a few weeks back on a HOF, £6-£8 per board, every board prized in the phones. Just couldn't get a decent box out of it though.

Because it's fooking terrible? 1 red in the whole of town? No Cluedos, No monopolys, no dials? Unless you are me and know all the small pubs you are dead here now. Used to visited a bit a while back, those days long gone now though.

Not a cat in hells chance people are going to find every small pub in the housing estates and outskirts, and i guarantee the CCP hidden away has never had any outsiders play it, or let alone ever been through th doors of the pub. 8)
