come on england!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What side was this on? Wasnt on sky or bbc?
Off topic a bit but..
Talking about sky I signed up a couple of months ago thinking that I might be able to watch hull city every week (no laughing!!).. My mate said on a Saurday you could press the red button and pick your game. He forgot to tell me its not untill 10pm..
If you live in China you can watch em live every week, if you live in Hull you can watch 'em live twice a season. What a load of shite!

Personally I love what Setanta have done, it gets people out to the pubs again!
The pub I viewed the game was packed! great atmosphere, and a good performance from England, some stunning goals scored.
Rooney is quality, dont care what anyone says about his goalscoring record, he does a LOT for the team, legend!
Walcott was impressive, stood up to the croats brilliantly, and packed a deadly punch infront of goal. He is the future, and good luck to him.
Only downside to it all was that horror challenge on Joe cole. Deserved to see red for that, disgraceful, Overall I thought they were one really dirty side Croatia.

I watched it at home (managed to get Setanta free for 6 months after a bit of coy wrangling!) and it was a fantastic match. Let's just hope that everyone doesn't go on about us being world-beaters now. If we can play like that every match - then we've got something to look forward to!
Oh, and I text radio 5Live before the game was over and said I'd lay money on the headline "Three-o Walcott" being used and they didn't stop going on about it all night, heh-heh!

"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."

.
What a result, the second half was an absolute battering.
I'd just like to raise a point with Setanta. I think that they have come in for a lot of unfair stick over the England Issue. I pay £10 each month for Setanta, which gives you access to 9 sports channels and access to 6/7 premiership games, England games, high profile boxing matches (that would be PPv with other broadcasters) and a multitude of over events. I consider £10 a fair price for this service. The minimum sport package with sky is £29. All Setanta have done is break Sky's monopoly, giving a value alternative. Senata broadcast highlights on free-to-view to the British public last night @11.
The blame lies with the TERRESTRIAL channels for the fact that highlights were not shown. The rights belong to the home team, Croatia, who sold them to an agency, who then put them up for bidding in each country. All channels have a right to bid for these rights. Setanta won with a bid of £5 million. Setanta then put the highlights package out for bidding, valued at £1million. Bear in mind that if they sell these rights for highlights their subscription revenue takes a severe tumble. ITV and BBC both bid in the region of £200k for the rights - this low bid is basically a statement of disinterest.
Lets put this into perspective. Jonathan Ross earns £18 million from the BBC. They have no problems churning out programmes like celebrity fat club, celebrity dog training etc - yet they have shown no interest in the national sport, the rights were there if they wanted them.
6 weeks ago the BBC were fined for ripping off kids through various phone voting scams, they were fined £400k. This fine came out of the LICENCE FEE. The BBC, a public services broadcaster, bid half this amount for the highlights of our national sports crucial qualifier.
The amount of money slushnig around at the BBC is ridiculous and it is nothing short of a scandal that they did not bid for the rights to show the whole match in the first place. It's fiting that the match was a cracker and they missed out.
