What are your opinions on introducing a section on this board to help with improving a registrant's grammar and spelling?

As a rough idea, English exercises would be available on a regular basis and those people interested in improving their English skills would participate and liaise with volunteer board registrants who have good English skills.
Other holistic advice such as preparing CVs, dealing with job interviews, conflict resolution and positive social networking skills may be broached upon.

Please select just ONE option that best sums up your thoughts on the matter.

I assumed likewise.. not least because of the grammatical error in the initial question. ;)

Anyone ever notice that you can get UPDRADE on Snakez? Sort 'em out. :)

:o ops: Ooops! ooops!

Not very macho is it?

One of the Rocky films that. Guy bumps into him in the gym and Sylllllvestestter Stallone says 'oops'. It also says 'ooops' when you click that pink, blushing smiley thing.

Grammatical error edited.

I'm sort of half taking the mickey and half just having a bit of debate about the whole spelling issue really. Maybe a bit of gratuitous fence sitting back there, but I know you'd love a bit of a linguistic challenge Sue and I'm sure another, who Sham 69 would like to hurry up, might fancy a shot at playing teacher.

Brilliant! Absolutely superb.

That is exactly the sort of thing PG.

Now I shall write it out ten times.

Liaise
Liaise
Liaise
Liaise
Liaise
Liaise
Liaise
Liaise
Liaise
Liaise

I genuinely thought liaise was spelt as 'liase'. I may have used that poor spelling on my CV or job application form.

how about a word of the day to educate and elucidate?

may i start?

coot (n) 1. any of various swimming and diving birds of the genus Fulica. 2. an aged person; typically male who displays determined fuddyduddiness. (often misspelled c**t.)

this is in danger of becoming my second-favourite thread :D

sorry to be mr logic but: spelled is spelled like this and liaise is not a word. H2 is right that liaison is spelled with two Is but liaise is a neologism. a bit like miniscule being an accepted spelling now.
detention in classroom I4, report card says "must try harder".
sorry to be such a geek. irl it is my job.

please feel free to rip me apart for lack of verbs, capitals and full stops

I won one hundred and five pounds when playing that fucking bandit. what I never mentioned is that it took one hundred and six pounds to make that happen so I am one pound out of pocket.

Not bad that!

Not even a litre of fuel
