Mmmmm interesting.

I've got Sky+ and the full monty package(all sports, movies etc etc), including broad band and the free evening and weekend calls for supposedly £50 a month.

Obviously I have to have a BT basic line rental for me sky broadband, this was costing me about £9.95 a month plus any calls that I made, which were always none so that was that a flat £9.95. Then when Sky finally moved me on to there free evening and weekend thingy, I mysteriously started getting charged about an extra £15-£20 a month for which they says is call charges. They don't give you a monthly bill so I asked them to give me a few no.s, it was always one no. 090-something I rang it and it was a fax machine/modem. I told them I hadn't had this problem before and I know its not me dialing it. So what the hell is it? Coupled with that my broadband is now hardly ever working, since they made 'improvements' to it.

Beware!!

They dont send any phone bills through? surely you could request them? Someone i know has the broadband and they say its really quick and have never had a problem with it? I think there is somethink about were you live and what sort of signal(power) you can get? I to will be paying BT line rental £10.50, but i'll be keeping my eye on that phone bill! didnt bother with the movies as i was told they were crap anyway, repeat after repeat after repeat plus i should be able to hook my laptop up to the tv and download movies etc to watch on the TV screen, footie seasons over for a bit so didnt bother with sports plus im sure again thier must be a websight that shows sporting events live???? again should be able to watch through my telly. happy days.

this brings up 2 questions

1' why oh why when there is a supposed improvement to your service, it actually makes
things worse?

2' why is it when you try to ring these fuckers, it takes 40 mins to talk to another human
being, press 1 if you want to be unexpectedly cut off, press 2 if you want to listen to
greensleves for the rest of your life, press 3 if you want to talk to 4 different people that
will pass you back and fourth for an hour without solving your problem, press 5 if you
want to be lied to about us calling you back, press 6 if you've lost the will to live, press 7
if you want to hear these options again :x

Dont get me wrong it is quick when its working, sometimes takes up to about 2 hrs to connect tho. Gone through all the usual checks and everthing is fine and no different to before they made these 'improvements' to the line. Obviously something they have done but you try telling them that.

They gave me the no. that I had allegedly been calling and it was a fax/modem. Maybe my PC is dialling some kind of dodgy no. now and again, but it certainly isn't me. I'll be back on to 'em again soon if after my next bill dont you worry.

I too have Sky Broadband.

I also have Sky TV minus the movies.

It costs £46 per month

I too have to pay a monthly line rental to BT.

I was with Sky for phone calls aswell, I too got ripped off.

I also had problems with my connection, everytime the landline rang the internet would go off, then I would spend upto 20 mins trying every router port trying to reconnect.

This was especially annoying when playing poker.

In the end I started to ignore the phone.

I changed the filter box.

It worked properly.

I had broadband, not dial-up.

BUT WHAT PISSES ME OFF THE MOST IS THE FACT THEY'RE MORE THAN HAPPY TO TAKE YOUR MONEY, BUT WHEN YOU HAVE TECHNICAL PROBLEMS THEY COULDN'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK. ALSO, THEY GIVE ALL THESE FANTASTIC OFFERS TO NEW CUSTOMERS, YET WHEN I ASK FOR A FREEBIE OR MAYBE A SKY+ BOX FOR HALF PRICE THEY GIVE ME THE V SIGN........FUCKERS. :x :x :x
