The media said that about Halo 3. They were wrong. :)

Still, should be fun!

I read on another site that it had been leaked but only for people who have 'modded' consoles - don't forget though, the quality will not be as good as the proper game itself.

But yes the media does overhype everything.....Halo 3 anyone?

Apparantly the 360 version runs a good deal better than the PS3 one, and is slightly cheaper (£40 as opposed to £45), so take your pick. :)

absolutely bolocks of the highest order ,,,,,,, if anything its the other way round due to the ps3 7min instal to hard drive, so that the game streams from memory not disk,,,,,,, and if you read all the mag reviews so far (TRY METACRITIC) they all say the 360 version suffers from pop up and that the ps3 version is better ,,,,,,,,,,,,

lets not turn this into a my console is better than yours thread
i used to support a 360 as well but had 4 in two years go rrod on me, the 5th one took 3 months to return from microsoft, so i got rid, great games ,shit hardware ,
ive owned every system since the atari 2600 and specky/cbm 64 days,
and a good game is a good game regardless of console but as for gta4 the general opinion is that it runs better on ps3 (read all the mag reviews on metacritic) before coming back with fanboy bullshit

...however, Amazon is currently listing both of them for £40.

Rockstar are apparantly citing the usual reasons for the PS3 version being slightly worse - the machine being "more difficult to develop for."

http://www.ukresistance.co.uk/2008/04/p ... uying.html

(Yes, I know UK Resistance is noted for its PS3 hating, but the magazine it's quoting here did genuinely say that).

I own neither console, but I can vouch for the PS3 being more of git to program than the 360, because I've worked on both of them - I'm not a fanboy, I work for a developer as a programmer. The same thing happened with the original Xbox vs the PS2. Speaking personally, the Xbox was vastly better to program for, but we found out the PS2 tricks in the end. We just don't know the PS3s tricks yet! :)

Don't worry, I'm not turning this into a PS3 vs 360 thread, I honestly don't care which one "wins". I had enough of that with the Amiga vs ST wars, and I play most of my stuff on a DS these days. ]Eurogamer[/url] will be doing a comparison feature next week.

No worries. :)

I just want one of them to win, no matter which one it is, because then my job gets easier. :)
