You do take some excellent quality photos, mjd - you're lucky to have such great views on your doorstep.
It's a bright, chilly day here in London - no chance of snow

Great stuff again mate! I love snow!
Have you thought about loading your photos up to
http://www.flickr.com? They're more than worthy of it, and it could be a way into a bit of pocket money...

Thanks for the feedback lads!
I may be a bit rubbish on Fruit Machines, but this makes up for it. You all know that you can come on Cumbria sometime and have a thrilling holiday with the fells we have here.
This one was Coniston. The Middle mountain is Dow Crag, the Mountain on the Right is coniston Old Man (38th tallest peak in England) and the one we climbed on the day is Walna Scar (on the left) which is over 2000 Feet in height
We aimed for Dow Crag (2500FT+) but the Wind was unbearable, honestly we could stand BUT lift a leg and your instantly off balance!!
some more pics :
From the road
on the 2nd pic I cant make out the mountain at the back on this screen, but on My Brothers you can! But the zoom on the first shows what Im on about
More :
From the river.. looked good
Possibly the best of the bunch, it looks crisp
Came out very nicely too
Amazing how snow levels differ in the fells
Proud of this shot... To be honest they dont all come out like this, this is what I dream of everytime we enter the fells, the snow adds so much to shots like this.
That mountain looks really pretty from up there, im sure ive posted pictures of it before on here

It's good to have someone more in touch with nature on the board. Also admitting 'I'm rubbish at fruit machines'. What a breath of fresh air. Sometimes I think we all need a walk in surroundings like that.

If I never had to work Id do the same thing every day (assuming the weather is ok). Thats walk the fells and drink a few ales after it.
Instead, I work, then have little to do on a night, so go to the pub and play fruit machines or pub games in a rather undisciplined way....
Sometimes I win, more times I lose, but Its ok, because Im enjoying life at the moment and those memories are the main reason why
Theres a lot of Successful people on this site by the sound of things, wish I was one of them, but know its pretty much impossible for me. I respect people who can and cant do it
Good luck all

mjd, you have a good eye for the photos and I remember you once saying wages aren't the greatest where you live, have you ever thought about taking a Photgraphy course at night school, studying for a recognised qualification and maybe going freelance.

Thanks!
Ive never really looked into such thing, It may be something to consider. I think ive made good use of the camera I have, its not SLR quality, Bit below, but i work with the landscapes quite well, and Still beleive im improving. When the right time comes I may get an upgrade (with the rubbish wages!). Sometimes the current camera doesn't quite pick things up as well as hoped, but still, cant complain at all with some of the above!

living to drink another beer is goooooooooood!
Walked a lot in the dark this morning, watched the sun Rise over a 2800FT Mountain and reached that height myself in snow...
Again, I will post the shots when I get hold of em
