Grandslam Sunday

Post by Matt Vinyl »

GET IN THERE!!!! MJD - What did you think of the game? To be fair, Liverpool 'should' of scored, but for our defence! :)

Rooney should've made it 2:0 later in the second half...

A draw for Arse / Chelsk would top the afternoon off... :)

Woohoo !!

Yeah, excellent performance from the lads. I thought it was a hell of a result because Liverpool gave it their all and threw everything at us.
Defensively we were very good, rode our luck occasionally but the way usually is in the big games...

Relax and watch Chelsea and Arsenal now.. I think Arsenal might take that one.. But of course A draw would be ideal :D

2 horse race now :? :

John Terry out for up to 6 weeks is a huge loss to Chelski!

I'd say that Drogba out for a while is a much bigger hit! Plus, African Nations coming up is a blow to Arsenal...

Terry is miles ahead of Ben Haim but I do think Alex is a star in the making. For PSV he was Immense.

without terry, chelsea are full of defenders that can score, but are limited defensively.

Just you wait - Portsmouth will be unrecognisable once the African Nations Cup begins.
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

Arsenal lose Toure and Eboue only. Togo didnt qualify so we keep Adebayor :)

MJD: Was a good game today. And lovely to see Liverpool struggle against the minnows.

Big: I know what you're saying, but it's still nice to put on a good show, whoever we're playing... ;)

Warming up nicely for the Portsmouth v Arsenal game now. Can Pompey deliver a nice late Chrimbo present to us? ;)

Chelsea struggling was also good news, conceeding 4? When's the last time any of the big four have done that? I agree that the ref was a 12th man for both teams at times, but, that's the way it goes...

Opposition not strong indeed, but you rarely see such a one sided performance from an away team in a top flight fixture..

Look at Liverpool today, im sure everyone was expecting a drubbing, and they won it JUST. United were as convincing as it gets. Very Very excited about our squad, Very strong squad we have right now, Exactly what you need this time of year.

confidence is high, and our rivals are stumbling.. Pressure on the rivals!

Matt - Happy days mate! Top of da league!
:D
