Hi all,

Spent the day today putting this together - just to try and get my head around a new programming language I recently purchased (BlitzMAX - It's bloody powerful!).

I put this together to try a few of the functions I need for 'Better Letters', but I've still not implemented the dictionary checking yet (so all words are valid lol!)

*** Please don't think that this is an example of what my games will be like - this is just a test! *** (lol!)

Ooh, one point that might also upset a few Wordsmiths - I only have SOWPODS dictionary ability at the moment - but if anyone would like to point me in the direction of something more, shall we say, 'sensible' dictionary (in .txt / .dat or even .xls format) I'd be very grateful!

Just download the exe.. When I run it I just get a brief black screen (looks like a dos box) and then it go's off..?

DOH! @ Me!!! It's actually a .zip file (had trouble uploading it as a .zip) not an .exe

Try changing the file extension from .exe to .zip and ensure it extracts properly (folders intact etc).
