So my town eventually got round to opening a spoons, naturally I pop in to see what's on offer, shit on the machine front but what got me was the drink prices, the ales and Indy ciders are cheap as normal but I paid 3.45 for a Stella and my mate a Tennents for 3.10, I wasn't expecting them to be hugely cheaper than this but this puts it up as the second dearest in town, quite surprising for a company which have built themselves on cheap and cheerfull, another thing is it's definitely the nicest looking one ive ever been in, I take It they're upping the standards with the new openings, what's the damage in you're nearest/local one?

Also have to add I was in the moon under water in Manchester a couple weeks back, surely up there with the biggest pubs in the country?

I seem to remember Carling vanished from spoons a while back, something to do with the price i think? They must have got it back by demand or summat, Carlsberg is nasty!

Yes, I was in one of them last week.

No horseradish sauce, most annoyed I was.

Local one when I'm up North is significantly cheaper than the rest. Strongbow/Carlsberg always 1.99 and 1.50 on Mondays. Beer and a burger 3.99, not soft drink and a burger. They have a quiz where normally me and some mates have our dinner and then pay for it through a bit of general knowledge

Long time no hear mate, it's right in the middle of the high street, the building that used to be the job centre.
