I download nearly all the music i want (over 250 gigs) 8)

But every so often i still buy cd's mostly because im too lazy to download it and burn it, plus originals look better.

Last one i bought was 2-3 weks ago and it was Feeder - The Singles one. Very good album but you expect it to be if you buy a greatest hits type cd. Before that i bought Muse which i think is alright but not amazing and Nina Simone which is quite good to chill out too.

Shamefully, since I got broadband, I haven't bought any music, preferring to "share" it.

However, I justify it to myself cos I do like seeing live bands / gigs / dance acts, so I pay them through that. Obviously, I don't go and see everyone, but that's their fault for not touring enough. And the rest of the stuff I would never have bought in the first place, so they still haven't lost out.

Last album was I bought was the latest Prodigy album. It was pretty crap, so I took it back to the shop!

Shocking stuff, after reading all the money winning stories on here i am dismayed that people are stealing from artists who have fully earned their royalties

You've not heard any money winning stories from me.

But like I say, if I download something that I wasn't going to buy anyway, how does it affect their royalties?

Yeah most of the stuff i have downloaded i wouldn't have bought anyway. I do tend to still buy albums i really really want.

Hehe, glad i got a reaction. I have got about 1500 mp3 albums on my pc.

About 2% of them were ripped from a cd.
