Climbing 'The King'
King Harrison with astonishing cloud breaks
As far as mountain climbing goes, I hit the jackpot. Anyone can do a walk like this, but sometimes you get lucky! £105 top (£35 era)

Great photo mjd, you must get a real buzz from scaling heights to reach such magnificent views.

That really is so much better than anything you can get from Scafell Pike.

I'm as lazy as the next man believe me, but looking at that picture inspires me. I'd love to get involved.

Cheers lads!
Its a hard graft getting up there, but always worth the effort. I always take a bottle of ale to the top for that little bit more inspiration

How long did it take to reach that spot?

Id say a couple of hours, maybe slightly more but I am a fairly quick walker.
The round trip was almost 6 hours, but I did spend at least an hour at the top. Then theres also food, drink, and rest periods too.
It makes for a nice evening too, the relaxing sort with a few pints!
