Pool Strategies

I have seen a lot of different ways of winning a game of pool in my time, but Glendale's takes the biscuit! Its the most boring way to play pool ever, but in the end it grinds his opponents down. Seen him win all his games tonight by setting up the balls covering all the pockets and not potting them until the last minute. His opponents could do nothing to counter this strategy!

I'm a dab hand at pool I reckon, but this is the sort of opponent that I can't beat! I just have to rely on accuracy and a bit of doubling to knock em in, and maybe a bit of aggression to knock his out the way when there's a chance

Covering the pockets don't work, it's more like he went for the pot but missed and it's left over the pocket by luck. I play pool most day and I'd love to play most people on here for fun or money.

Depends on the ruleset really, playing world rules pays dividends if you can grind people down, but it's mind numbing... blackball makes it less beneficial, and it's more a game of how well you can pot IMO, so i prefer that.

id come along and play, covering pockets is a good way of playing unless your playing a decent player who will play fouls to put them in controll.

Glendale will not play world rules fullstop,it's always a case of "old rules" when he's setting the balls up,TINYMCFINEY was quite a handy player in his younger years,he claims to have beaten Joe Perry at snooker too.

if you can hit 97 in snooker, why bother playing pool?

if you can hit 98, change jobs.
