Is there some sort of setting that you can change about the 'type' of contract you are on? I'm sure there's some sort of network setting about PAYG / PAY MONTHLY that can affect those sort of things...

on pay as you go they take £5 a month for it, on contract i suppose you will have to state that you have a bb and maybe pay an extra £5-£10 a month :/
why dont you just download pingchat, its the same but free and you can have it on iphone and android too so you can talk to anyone rather than the bb crew.

blackberry and n97 data packages are different, ring the customer support number and they will probably sort it with a sim update..

i was due my renewal this month on vodafone .

i was on 750 xnet mins 500mb tinternet and 3000 texts + insurance , itemised billing etc,,,,,, £40 month. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, plus as ive been a customer for 10 years plus ,,,,,,,,, i get another sim for tracy ,,,,, 600xnet mins + 3 free friends n family numbers £10 month .

now they gave me the choice ,,,,,,,, of another free phone ,,,,,,,,( pointless , as i just usually sell em off on ebay as a boxed sealed unwanted upgrade,,,,,,, happy with my samsung cheap £20 handset )

or ,,,,,,, alternatively ,,,,,,,,,,,, mrs sim stays unchanged ,,,,,,,,,,, but mine is now 900xnet mins , unlimited texts , unlimited internet ,,etc,,,, only £20 a month.

so half the bill , for more mins and unlimited everything else ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, get in.

can anyone beat that tariff?

ive got a nokia N900 with unlimited averything, £35 a month, with a spare unlimited (could be set to international calling discount but i dont ring anywhere)

N900 is a very underrated phone, it has a full intwrnet browser and runs proper programs instead of "apps" its pretty much one step away from a laptop with a phone built in

has anyone seen the info on nokias windows7 gizmo due in the new year? they're putting a 1.1 gig proccessor in a phone and putting a proper version of windows 7 into it, supposed to get a usb3 port on it, meaning it IS a laptop... i will be getting one of those as soon as its released, no matter how much it costs.

one thing ill say on mobile tariffs is, people probably dont always need unlimted stuff, i think orange run a changeable tariff still, each month they review your account, and bill you the cheapest way, if you'd be over your minutes on one tariff, but within on another they work out the best one and charge you that, if you'd be better off on a lower one and paying for a few minutes or texts over the allowance, it does it automaticly..

my missis is on this, one month she didnt call anyone and somehow didnt use many texts, her bill was less than a tenner! although i *think* she turned an upgrade down to get this tariff?
