We've done the merits of working / paying tax / claiming benefits to death.
We've had a crack at party politics, immigration and even conspiracy theorys.

What shall we do next?

Religion maybe?

Any Theists amongst us?

The world would be a better place without religion, there, i've said it!

If you believe in God, then you've got the bases covered. No downside, is there. You are either goinfg to be eaten by worms, or to the great 105% arcade in the sky.

Probably lots of 777 Heavens in there, that flash most boards. No-one knows the nudge up trick and they pause constantly.

Poker Pete, I like the way you work. Suggest an argument/debate on a topic that you clearly have strong, knowledgeable views on, and then when someone challenges your beliefs hit them with a torrent of deep, meaningful theories and insight, the majority of which goes straight over the heads of the average person. You are then left feeling as though your opinions are fact when of course you couldn't possibly know.

Religion is a load of old bollocks by the way, and God doesn't/didn't exist, so there. Even my Religious Education teacher at school didn't believe in God, or any other deity.

Or you could try the saint martindale method.

Just occured to me that I'm involved in a variety of Forums and the poker / MMA / Music ones have all had lively theological debate.
This is the only one I post on that hasn't.
Just wondered where it'd go.

All this theology talk reminded me of this amusing ChemEng end-of-year question "Is Hell endothermic or exothermic ?"

"First, We postulate that if souls exist, then they must have some mass. If they do, then a mole of souls can also have a mass. So, at what rate are souls moving into hell and at what rate are souls leaving? I think we can safely assume that once a soul gets to hell, it will not leave.

Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for souls entering hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, then you will go to hell. Since there are more than one of these religions and people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all people and souls go to hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in hell to increase exponentially.

Now, we look at the rate of change in volume in hell. Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in hell to stay the same, the ratio of the mass of souls and volume needs to stay constant. Two options exist:

1. If hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter hell, then the temperature and pressure in hell will increase until all hell breaks loose.

2. If hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until hell freezes over.
So which is it?
