Think you might need an external soundcard mate. Although a bit tedious if used with a laptop.
Not heard of USB headphones, but can't see why it wouldn't work. Give Google a go.

Thatll do the job jack, its the exact one i bought, i already have an onboard soundcard, but i had to get this USB card as well in order to be able to have headphone cue when using virtualdj, so my headphones run off the usb card and i can hear the other deck to mix tracks in, but the main onboard card plays out the set itself, cant be done in VDJ without 2 cards, well, not properly anyway.

Bloody hell, that looks sweet! I had one of those ones that is a separate box and needs a cable etc.
Fair do's, I needed a quality one for when I was into my music writing, but lugging it about was an arse.
May have to pick up one of those just for the sake of it. What's the quality like compared to say, on-board laptop hardware?

Well, because wav files are so frickin huge, i only use downloaded 320kbps mp3 files in my sets, or for any music for that matter, and if i am recording i always run a sample format of 44100Hz and 32 bit float, and on playback there is no audible difference that i can notice between the onboard realtek card and the USB driven one.
