It's packed up today and I've got important documents on it. Is there any way of recovering them? I've tried it on 3 different laptops.

What seems to be happening with it? Dose the computer still recognize it? or see it in your disk management?

once its buggered, its bugered,
You might be able to try a card reader.

I use 32Gig ones from China, £9 each, bargain and never had a problem with them,. am using about 4 of them quite happily.

Yeah like one of those all in one card readers,.

Some of the slots can read up to 3 or 4 different type of cards, sometimes when using USB memory sticks, it works, it just the way it tries to connect/read the data
