JUVENTUS will start the new season in Serie B with a massive 30-point deduction.
The Turin club have also been stripped of their 2004-05 and 2005-06 Serie A titles after being found guilty in the great Italian match-fixing scandal.
Fiorentina and Lazio have also been demoted to Serie B - but AC Milan stay in Italy's top division.
Milan, who also had 44 points deducted from last season's tally, will start the new season with a 15-point handicap.
Lazio have a seven-point deficit in Serie B and Fiorentina start with minus 12 points.
Juventus, Milan and Fiorentina have also had their entry to the Champions League scrapped.
Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder claimed the behaviour of the clubs involved was unacceptable.
He said: "We all go into football - any sport - to play by the rules of the sport.
"For me personally, I wouldn’t get the same satisfaction out of winning if I crossed the line, as it were.
"But you know in the murky world of professional sport, people are prepared to do that.
"This reminds the authorities to keep a look-out for the characters that may go beyond the line. It’s unacceptable behaviour."
