Does anybody know why I see a white box whenever anyone posts a picture?
My computer skills outside Excel/ outlook etc are poor.

Now here's the wierd thing. I just see a load of ASCIIgook around the http for the Youtube vid. Then when I click post reply, all the embedded thingymies appear fine, I can even get jpfuk's autoplays without hassle.
I don't know what the answer is unfortunately, I've tried reinstalling several apps but no joy, I eagerly await an answer for this one myself.

I thought it was because I didn't have flash/player. I right clicked and tried to install, but all it did was put a twitter icon on my desk top, which wasn't the result I was hoping for.

Should have a little green pop up which looks like a jigsaw peice which will direct you to add ons needed for flash updates.. Though you have to manually allow them..
On internet explorer I know youtube has just ended its suppoting softwear for first generation 7, also if your running centrino or celeron you wont be able to access without installing a patch..
Other than that It should work fine.. just do the normal cookie and cashe clear.....

It's nice to see Dave Spikey looking so well.
Think he should have stuck to standup though...

Yep, the Phoenix club has got some serious sound and lighting gear in that Penine Suite. I can even hear Das Boot being played at the start of the song.

Net books are poor.. not in a slagging way before i get bombarded with abuse, poor in a youtube/buffering capacity.. There designed for serfing and thats it...
Visual image/sound are very restricted.... even to the point i dont think 99% of them have windows media player as they dont have a dvd/cd drive?
What make is it?.. i'll see if i can dig out a patch to run it for ya, and speed up the buffering a bit matey..

Nice one. It's a Dell insprion 1010.
I'm moving around at the moment so the net book does the job for most things, be nice to see the pictures though. That said you tube works ok.

im on a ps3 ,,,,,,,,,,,,, you see n hear everything with the browser .......... its roughly the same price as a cheap tacky netbook ,,,,,,,,,,, you get to play blu-rays n dvd's,,,,,,, edit all your digital photos , download free aps like vidzone (free music videos ) and bbc i player etc ,,,,,,,,,,, and apparently it plays the odd game or two :P
netbook's are designed for their portability and price for students on a budget , drinking theire coffee in free wi-fi zones.
other than the portability , why would anyone want one lol??
infact hmv have an ultra cheap £99 jobby ,,,,,,,,, obviously with the lowest spec possible and snail pace processor.

I suppose you'd classify it as a cheap one. I got it for signing up to a voda mobile. I'm betting on a propery crash once the the artificial propping up passes and the stimulus fades, and the huge and neccessary spending cuts are unleased. So sold my place and living with a mate who doesn't use a land line, so far it's been fine for everything bar pictures or video posted on this site
