over the years ive owned the vast majority of home systems , from the humble beginnings of the bat n ball tv games through the atari vcs , spectrum c16 c64 era , through the snes megadrive era etc ,,,,,,,,,, up to the present day ,,,,,,,,, and because of this , ive never really champion'd one system over another , afterall a great game is a great game , regardless of the system its running on. ,,,,,, ,,,,, but every once in a while comes a game that defines that system ,,,,,,,, a game that astounds your expectations of what the system is truely capable of when pushed to its absolute limits by a group of talented programmers , who know the system their working on inside out , have an unlimited budget with no deadline time restraints , and are passionate about their vision . when everything all gels together your left with a game that pushes the boundaries of what was thought possible and blows everything that came before it into insignificance .
for the cbm 64 for example , that game was the last ninja and it's sequels , regardless of your playing tastes and preferences , here was a game that did everything right , graphics , sound , presentation , control etc , simply hadn't been seen at this level before , it was the commodors finest hour and never was the same height surpassed or even reached again.
weather you like driving games or not ,(taste is a moot point) few can deny that the playstation 1 reached its peak with gran tourismo , remember when you first witnessed them replays?? it seamed almost real , and no game ever came close to that level of realism and top notch game mechanics and production values before or since.
with this in mind , here we have uncharted 2,,,,, for the ps3 ,,,,,, now the first one was/stil is an awesome experience blending top notch storytelling with fantastic gameplay and graphics to die for ,,,,,,,,,, but number 2 is on a plateau far beyond anything thought possible on a ps3 ,,,,,,, and so early on in the ps3 lifespan ,,,,,,,,
i cant possibly convey the experience this game offers in words, there are parts of this game that simply make you shudder ,,,,,,,, im not even going to attempt to explain just how good this game is anymore ,,,,,,,,,,, buy it , borrow it , steal it if you have to ,,,,,,,,, but just experience it .
if you dont have a ps3 ,,,,,,,,, buy one for this game ,,,,,,,,,, theres nothing to touch it on any other system whatsoever .
im sure crosby will back me up on this shortly .
lee.
quick edit: have completed this now on normal setting ,,,,,,,,,, what a game .
now theres co-op online and multiplayer deathmatch to try

there's just sooooooooo many decent games coming out nowadays i'm spoilt for choice ,i missed drakes 1 ,and have heard 2 can be played through in 12 hours so i'm not really that bothered about it ,ive seen gameplay on youtube and it does look very good though.
i'm waiting for that new zombie survival horror ,can't remember the name off the top of my head
,might give borderlands a bash too whilst i'm turning the screw on the missus to buy me dj hero lol.
there's just not enough time anymore for videogames

Is it Left For Dead 2? My Brother keeps going on about that, lol.i'm waiting for that new zombie survival horror
I'm going for MW2 when it comes out (next week!) as the trailers / videos have REALLY sucked me in...!
Thinking of investing in a HD TV too, as it's a bit blurry on my current flat-screen (CRT, though). Anyone comment on the difference in picture quality of a PS3 being played through normal compared to HD?
Too true, although the missus tends to go to bed quite early, so now it's Playstation instead of Babestation in the evenings...there's just not enough time anymore for videogames
"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."

Big ,big difference on full hd matt, but only as good as your eyes ,i recommend you turn some of those first credit 210's into a full hd setup or maybe go get one of those new ultra slim led jobbies and start your own boasting thread
