came home early at 3pm for this today ,,,,,
no true hd on any of the games , just a smoothing filter ,,,,,, not great but ok.
anyway , the game i was most interested in was shinobi arcade , turns out its locked , you have to play megadrive shinobi 3 and beat first stage without using a continue to unlock shinobi arcade.
easily done .
oh my god ,,,,, you can keep your flashy nex gen graphics , this is just as awesome as when i used to play it in the 80s.
real skills required . inch perfect jumping and timing .
ive never had a pc , ( preferring the plug and play nature of consoles) so couldn't play this on mame.
i remember it looked the part on the amiga , but played like a snail stuck in treacle lol, the cbm64 version played a lot better ffs,,,,,, and the master system version wasn't much better.
till now there hasn't been an arcade perfect port on any system . and i was kinder worrying that i may be remembering this from my youth looking through rose tinted specs , as they say . but no
ust awesome .
im not that good a player , but after 2 hours of unlimited continues , ive finally beaten stage 4 locust , but as soon as you reach stage 5 , there are no more continues ,,,,,, rock solid.
this game for me has been worth the £30 alone .
now to play the other 40 on the disc ,,,,,,,,, including all 3 streets of rage.
worth every penny , a collection that will last you months , top value for money , and puts most modern day graphical whore games to shame .
if you have a ps3 or a 360 , i cant recommend this enuf.
