I used to like Blazing Squad, but since they all split up and all 10 of them embarked on solo careers, I'm having trouble deciding which I like the most!

I used to be into Cleopatra before everyone started liking them. Life ain't easy.... that song moves me to tears everytime.

Does anyone remember One True Voice??? I certainly do, in fact, I can't forget them. I've got all their names tattooed to the inside of my eyelids.

I really like the barn-storming Integral off that. I think my fave PSB album remains Behaviour, tho - awesome stuff.

The problem with stuff taken from others on the net is that it often isn't a good quality rip. Artists spend 100,000s on using the right studios, mastering etc and then ppl listen to the stuff at 128k on crappy computer speakers. If you rip from your cds you can at least make sure your mp3s are 256k or so.

Maybe 'ethical pirating' might involve only taking music that's encoded at 96k or less. That way you can hear whether the stuff is good and will end up wanting to buy a decent quality copy if you like it.

If I found any of the decent stuff that I have made floating about in the filesharesphere I would be pretty pissed - only my mates get it free. :x

That said, there is lots of stuff shared which is long out of print or hopelessly rare. Those tunes are perhaps fairer game than the latest pop release.

Ramble ramble...I'm bored. :(

I would pay £1.25 if anyone could tell me what the lassies out of Cleopatra are up to these days?

Hopefully working in the local chip shop.

They're apparently going to release a new album "soon". Spend the £1.25 on ear-plugs. 8)

Cheers Ernest.

Checked out their official site..they'=. I like the bit that lets you "Read about Cleopatra in the Press", with a bunch of articles from 2000. And optimistically at the bottom it says "More to come"...

I'd much prefer to have an album sitting on my shelf rather than on my PC... but when albums are £10 a go nowadays, and it takes literally about 10 mins to download it, it's no suprise CD sales are dying.

Last album i bought was a few months ago, soul asylum's greatest hits.

Before that probably the new alkaline trio album or absolution by muse.

Vagianal bob. I thought that 128 was CD quality. Apparently its impossible to distinqusih between higher qualities?

I think its actually 384+ for CD quality?

I know thats another answer, but i'm sure its right :P I think 128 sounds a bit shoddy at times, and usually go for 256 when i can. Plenty of space for it, and better quality is important to me!
