Yes not now, but maybe in 2 years or so. Hopefully some form of peace will come in the middle east, and we'll get a fairer deal. Petrol isn't that expensive (It costs like 6p a litre in Iran), but because we are a wealthy nation with high demand, we get held to ransom. Better relations and when OPEC finally agree to increase output should see a fall.

But in the USA petrol is as cheap as anything. But the Dollar is chocolate money at the moment so it doesn't really count.

Of course, with the damage we are all doing to this planet, we should really be thinking of ways of using our cars less, and not more. The same goes for air travel.

aye you pay £1 a litre here, and £1 a gallon in the US (when I was last there)

wish it was that cheap here, suppose our cars arent as large! I dont think you see hatchbacks over there!!

When I first started driving petol was 61p (1999) Tony Blair comes into power a few months later and whacks 8p a liter tax on the price. Ok fair enough recently its beyond his control but the tax we pay on fuel is still outrageous. I was in canada 14 months ago. Petol was 34p and there was no road tax. If there is heavy tax on fuel why is there also tax on petrol?

Its ok to use public transport but where where I live there are three busses a day to the nearest town which take 55 minutes for a 20 minute drive.

We are practically governed by Bush anyway. Tony needs to stop getting bullied and to stand up for the British people
