Not having a go Pete, I've only watched one "fight". Some bloke was continally pounding another in the face. Didn't seem very sporting to me.

MMA bouts involve far fewer head shots than boxing, due to the fact there are body / leg kicks and submissions available as an attack.

You can hardly make your mind up it's human cockfighting based on one bout.

I would recommend watching a full card.
There's a really good looking card on sunday, 2am-6am (including prelims)

Sky+ that, watch it sunday and tell me what you think.

Pete and myself may have argued about some things, but i totally agree about mma with him.

Any sceptics go to a live event and then see what you think. Far better than boxing, even my wife loves it and I thought she'd hate it.

So did anyone take my advice and watch UFC 123 this weekend?

great card.

Close three round war in the main event.
Great KOs from BJ, Kelly and Hallman
some great submissions from Foster, Davis and Sotiropoulis
the other fights going the distance were still entertaining fights.

yesterday i opened a packet of wine gums ,,,,,,,,,, to my shock and horror , there was only 1 green one ,,,,,,,,,,,,, yet 13 reds , 17 orange 12 yellow and 12 black ,,,,,,

so what's going on at trebor basset m8? ,,,,,,, must be a conspiracy :P
