Somewhat tricky mental arithmetic game

Post by roberto la vigna »

Knowing that some in this forum are dab hands at quick mental calculation, I thought they might like to try this. It's rather tough (once you get to PASAT 4):

This is another one - subitizing, like counting the swords on Caesar's Palace:

I enjoyed the links. That site knocks 'Brain Training' into a huumpfed hat.
Zonked out after a fair few miles, I clocked up 100% on PASAT 2 on my second attempt and flunked PASAT 3 with 45% first time, with a couple more goes I reckon I can cane it. PASAT 4 is probably hardcore and I see no one has touched PASAT 5. I'm sure someone on here could if £20 was up for grabs. Hell, isn't your pride worth more than £20? No. I guess not. Pride doesn't pay mortgages.

Don't show me dots, my eyes are huumpfed for today.

Yeah - the site is proper hardcore. The Dual N-Back is particularly brain-bending.

I've managed a 100% on PASAT 3 but no more than 62% on PASAT 4. Haven't figured out a strategy to keep the numbers fresh in my noddle for that. No-one's made it to PASAT 5 yet, unsurprisingly.
