Strange Phone Number

Post by Matt Vinyl »

Hi all,

Has anyone else received a phone call from this number, on their mobile?

00888888888888

I've had two over the last month, but ignored them both incase they are some sort of 'get your number' type ripoff?

Googled it, and a few others have also had it recently?

And should I answer it next time? :?

It's the Devils new number. 666 is now ex-directory, and he's gone modern. Answer if you dare!

according to the international dialing codes, that prefix is assigned to the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. whatever one of those is.
nobody ever wins on those things.

Cheers Ross. Sadly, I've no idea what VOIP is?!

Mattb: If it is indeed an ex-directory Lucifer, I'll let you know... ;)

Istenem: I've not had terribly much involvement in coordinating affairs of the humanitarian variety, so... ;)

Voice Over Internet Protocol - Isn't it the technical term for this 'Skype' internet phone business?

All your big companies run on VOIP now, especially their call centres. 80
% or more off of your phone costs.
