bigtime moderation
I'm sure you could drink 20 pints of Guiness and still be able to drive, its not big and clever though is it. I can drink around 8 pints of Stella and still be more sober than pi$$ed (in my own mind at least), and I wouldn't dream of holding a baby let alone drive a car.
The father of a good friend of mine was caught drink-driving. Apparantly he didn't want to drive but was cohersed into driving by a bully, it was a mile journey, if that, lo and behold he knocked somebody over killed them and was sent to jail on a manslaughter charge. He missed a few years of his kids growing up and whilst he was inside his family were constantly targeted and harrassed by the deceased family.
What I'm trying to say is the reprecussions are huge and who knows it could be yourself or your mates who you kill. Superman you ain't.

I'll hold my hand up. I've done it. Deffo a stupid idea. I once had 3 quick pint's in a local pub and got into the car. As soon as i drove off i was pulled over. Proper cacking my pant's,i was asked to get into the police car and do a breath test. Gulp !!
ops:
I did what the officer said and to our both amazement, i got away with it. He said i must have had a quick drink and that it would'nt have got in my blood stream yet, he told me i was very lucky. That did it for me, it's just not worth it.
I have 2 kid's and to get locked up and miss their growing up for the sake of a walk or taxi ride is not worth it. Even worse would be having it on your mind that you killed someone else's kid........

life is like a big shit sandwich - every day we take a bigger bite
Surely it's not your ability to drive that changes after ten pints of Guinness, it's your ability to crash that rises.
I don't have a car and have never taken lessons, let alone passed a test. I would far rather the people who do choose to put themselves in charge of a motor vehicle accept that abilities are affected by alcohol, and not risk it.
