that is a colossally brave thing to do. kind of cathartic too. i salute the man.
in a similar but entirely dissimilar vein:
for part of my job i compose a crossword. today i got a very sweet letter from one of the old dears who enters every week. it said:
dear mrs denim, i do enjoy doing your crossword, eight years ago, before i had my stroke, i could never do them, but now i think i am getting better all the time.
she only gets about 3/4 of the crossword answers correct.
it is enormously humbling and made me step back and appreciate the hand i have been dealt.
