Local derbys

Post by toothless11 »

Just recieved my Portsmouth vs Southampton ticket. I payed £30 which isn't too bad. Scummers are buzzing atm whilst Pompey are just being plain average.

Should be an eventful game... Last time they played, a petrol station got set on fire! Lol.

Any other football followers got themselves a local derby ticket?

got my pompey v scum ticket aswell, will be good on the field, non event off due to the way the away fans are being taken to the ground and given their ticket, scum are flying at the mo and have a horrible feeling they will win 3-0

Is it just me, or does £30 seem a bit pricey for a ticket to a Championship game?

You can get into Premier League games for £20.

Presumably £30 isn't the normal price.

Prices can go up and down depending on who you play. Our next few games are all graded as Gold fixtures, then when we play Ipswich on Boxing day its graded as a Platinum fixture and the price rises.

Hate to imagine what a 'Platinum' fixture costs ...

European commitments mean my boys (Fulham) haven't had a Saturday home game since the opening day of the season, so I've been going to some excellent non-league grounds on Saturdays and paying £4 or so. Much more like it!

Depending on where you sit the price rises between £2 and £5, they should be letting fans in for free how we're playing, we beat Burnley 3-1 away, and Leeds lose 5-0 at home to Blackpool, so when we play Leeds at home Sunday what happens? Lose 1-0, one step forward, two steps back so far this year, and its looking like Nigel Pearson is coming back, crazy!

I did look at your boys as title contenders (ahead of Southampton) chiefly because the squad looks fantastic on paper - they just aren't getting the points at the moment. Probably one of the more surprising things this season.

Plenty of time yet, though ...
